PSYCHOLOGIST | PROFESSOR | SPEAKER

Hello, I’m Dr. Sam.

I was born in Columbus, GA to first-generation Korean American parents, who immigrated to the US in their 20s. I am an associate professor at Texas Woman’s University and a licensed psychologist.

My approach to mental health is grounded in Social Cognitive Theory, and I use Cognitive-Behavioral approaches. I am licensed and certified to provide psychological and tele-psychological services in over 35 states, and currently provide counseling services through Line Counseling.

I teach, or have taught, graduate students in counseling, interventions, and psychological assessment.

In my leisure, I love to consume science fiction and fantasy, such as Star Trek, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Dr. Sam is currently based in Denver, CO.
